MaryKate Vadala

MaryKate spends her workdays in spreadsheets and her free moments making up songs and stories. For many years, she wrote songs about her own life and scripts for wanna-be TV rom coms. In becoming a foster parent, her songs suddenly turned into jingles that would help kids learn to spell their names and she found herself writing bedtime stories instead of aspiring hallmark movies.

After one of her kids woke up from a particularly bad nightmare, the story of Journey Jensen was born, using her niece, Journey, as the inspiration for the title character.
